Coordinated research projects

Our research group has been the initiator of two large coordinated projects both granted by the German Research Society (DFG). The clinical research group KFO192 entitled "Regulation and dysregulation of skeletal muscle growth" was established in 2007 and has been extended until 2014 after international review. Speaker of KFO192 is Professor Friedrich C. Luft, M.D., scientific leader is Simone Spuler, MD, Prof. If you want more information on this interdisciplinary research network please click here.

In April 2010 the international research training group for myology was established as the first structured program in muscle sciences worldwide. MyoGrad is a close cooperation between the Charité Medical Faculty, the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine in Berlin and the Institut de Myologie at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (UPMC, Paris VI). Speaker of the German side is Simone Spuler, MD, Prof, speakers of the French side are Thomas Voit, MD, Prof and Helge Amthor, MD, PhD, MCU-PH.
