Retreat 2014

The close of the clinical research group "Regulation and dysregulation of skeletal muscle growth" (DFG, KFO 192) by the end of 2014 offered an ideal opportunity to bring together once more all members of the KFO and the related International Research Training Group for Myology – MyoGrad (DFG, GRK 1631).
The retreat took place from Dec. 14-16, 2014 on the island of Schwanenwerder on lake Wannsee in the southwest of Berlin. Senior and junior scientists presented and discussed latest research results, shared experiences within the different KFO and MyoGrad groups and reflected on future projects. Various international experts presented state-of-the-art lectures and shared their views with the programs' doctoral students. The meeting was also dedicated to further strengthen the cooperation between the muscle research activities in Paris and in Berlin.
